Our principles

~Sustainability~

When sourcing coffee we are not just looking for good cup quality but also the welfare of the farmers. We like to work with cooperatives, exporters, and importers that have an interest in the long-term wellbeing of the farmers and communities that they source from because we believe every coffee and harvest is unique, every roast different from the one before and every brew an individual expression of the chain of events and relationships that made it possible. We strive to support and build strong relationships with some of the best coffee growers who implement sustainable agricultural practices that respect and regenerate the land that they farm and each lot we buy is traceable down to farm level.

                                                                        ~Quality~

Consistency is key when it comes to roasting coffee, which is why we make every effort to ensure all our roasts are true to form, to do so, we roast in small batches on a Probat, allowing us to pay close attention to detail and ensuring that the taste of our coffee does not differ from batch to batch.

Our belief is to maximize the potential of each coffee that we source. Some harvests demand a roast that puts their bright and fruity sides forward, and others excel as more subtle and mysterious brews. Either way, the individuality and complexity of every coffee is preserved, enhanced, and showcased.
